THIN Chandelier

Expanding on Peter Bristol's THIN lamp to create an attention commanding statement fixture, the THIN Chandelier brings the articulated arm of the THIN Lamp to an extreme conclusion: an arachnid-like assembly of twelve arms, poised to illuminate.
Working from Peter's original aesthetic geometry, I helped to develop a fixture that took advantage of previously developed THIN parts, repurposing components into the new THIN Chandelier.
Informed by the prototypes produced, my influence on the final fixture ranges from material selection and finish options to suspension testing, wiring harness design, and packaging methods.

Cable grippers in the body ring allow center-of-gravity adjustment for stability in a variety of configurations.

Multiple iterations helped us work through problems in the concept, bringing us to a more robust and easier to assemble final product.

It doesn't actually move by itself 🙁
